Made up of more than 55 representatives from multiple sectors, the Community Suicide Prevention Network was created in 2010 to better coordinate existing services – like those provided by hospitals, child and youth agencies, public health, police, school boards and mental health programs – and to find innovative ways to make Ottawa a ‘suicide safe community.’
