The CPHC Brockville Community Family Health Team Mobile Service is a 30` x 10` RV that has been retrofitted with a fully equipped examination and treatment room. The unit is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner; a Program Assistant and a Driver/IT.
A visit to the mobile unit and the nurse practitioner can include:
-Diagnosis and treatment of common health concerns ear, throat and bladder infections
-Screening and monitoring of some chronic diseases
- Routine prenatal and postnatal care, well baby care and children`s exams
-Immunizations
-Blood testing
-Ordering on diagnostic tests
-Referrals to family physicians, specialists and other health care professionals
-Prescription for some medications (not narcotics)
-Health teaching and wellness counselling
