Early Childhood Mental Health Program

The Early Childhood Mental Health Program works with Richmond families to assess and treat behaviour and emotional problems in children 0-5 years of age.
We are a team of psychiatrists and allied health professionals that deal with:
-Issues relating to uncontrollable temper tantrums; defiance; hostility; sibling rivalry; extreme shyness; difficulty separating from parent
-Behavioral patterns that affect sleeping; feeding; toilet training
-Concerns about anxiety; depression; phobias; trauma
-Issues relating to attachment and bonding
-Parent-child relationship difficulties
Assessment and treatment is provided in the context of the child`s family and in collaboration with other community service providers as needed.
We are a designate teaching site for UBC Faculty of Medicine.
