Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-i) is a clinically and scientifically supported treatment for insomnia. It is a behavioural and psychological intervention that can be undertaken while on sleep medications. CBT-i can help with difficulties related to falling alseep, staying asleep, waking up too frequently or too early in the morning, worries or anxiety about not sleeping, low mood, fatigue, irritability, and issues arising from the use of CPAP machine. Services are available in person in the Greater Toronto Area or by distance (telepsychology or teletherapy).
